MN350 is organizing Moving Planet, this year’s global day of action on September 24, 2011 on the State Capitol lawn from 2pm to 7pm. There will be a mass bike ride beginning at 11am near the Stone Arch Bridge and an interfaith procession leading into the event. There will be an extensive resource fair that includes organizations and businesses as well as activities. Our speakers program will highlight the mosaic of voices and connections from people and our places to climate change. We will have a message from Bill McKibben, climate science facts from John Abraham, local heroes, youth voices and political asks. The program will be followed by an evening of music by local artists, including the New Primitives, Alicia Wiley, and Lucy Michelle and the Velvet Lapelles. -
